How to Connect Your Forex VPS from macOS & iOS (Step-by-Step)
What You Need
- VPS IP address
- Username:
Administrator(unless your delivery email says otherwise) - Password: from your delivery email
- Microsoft Remote Desktop app for macOS and/or iOS
Install Microsoft Remote Desktop on macOS
- Open the App Store on your Mac.
- Search for Microsoft Remote Desktop by Microsoft.
- Click Get / Install, then Open.
Connect to VPS from macOS
- In the MRD app, click Add PC.
- PC name: enter your VPS IP.
- User account: choose Add User Account →
Username
Administrator+ your password → Save. - (Optional) Friendly name: e.g., FxSVPS-NY-VPS.
- Double-click the PC tile to connect. If a certificate prompt appears, click Continue.
Recommended Settings (macOS)
- Display: enable Fit session to window. If network is slow, set Optimize for Retina off and reduce resolution.
- Devices & Audio: keep Clipboard enabled for copy/paste; redirect printers or drives only if needed.
- Folders: map a read-only folder if you need to transfer EAs/templates safely.
