We cannot stop a customer copying your EA
Your customer has administrator access to their own machine. That is what they are paying for, and it means any file on it can be copied — hidden folder, restricted user, read permission removed, it does not matter. Administrator beats all of it.
What we can do is make casual copying inconvenient: the EA in a folder they have no reason to open, no shortcut to it, a separate user running the terminal. That stops the curious. It does not stop the determined, and any host telling you otherwise is selling you something.
Real protection belongs inside your EA — account-number locking, a licence check on start, an expiry. If your business depends on the code staying yours, that is where the work goes.
