DXtrade VPS DXtrade VPS

DXtrade VPS —
a browser that never closes.

DXtrade runs in a browser, so what you are renting is a machine that keeps that browser open and logged in while yours is closed. One gigabyte a window, and the location matters more than the size.

  • Chrome and Edge installed, set to reopen your tabs
  • 42 cities — pick the one nearest your broker
  • Windows Server licence included

What does a VPS do for a browser platform?

1 GB = 1
of memory browser window

The platform itself is your broker's, running on their servers. What the VPS gives you is a session that stays open — logged in, charts loaded, and any bridge or bot alongside it still running at three in the morning.

Sizing it

One gigabyte,
one window.

A DXtrade session is a browser tab with a charting engine in it. At rest that is a couple of hundred megabytes; with a dozen charts and a few days of history it climbs. A gigabyte a window is the rule, and two windows for two broker accounts.

1 GB = 1 Count your open sessions.

One broker account open in one browser window fits a gigabyte. Two accounts at two firms is two.

Plan What the memory holds Terminals
1 GB Eco Starter win + 1 1 terminal
2 GB Eco Pro win + 1 DXtrade 2 terminals
3 GB LITE VPS win + 1 DXtrade DXtrade 3 terminals
4 GB ULTRA VPS win + 1 DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade 4 terminals
6 GB PREMIUM VPS win + 1 DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade 6 terminals
8 GB PROFESSIONAL win + 1 DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade DXtrade 8 terminals
Same rule for MT4, MT5 and cTrader · four charts and one expert advisor on each

More memory rarely helps here. If you are keeping one session open and nothing else, the smallest plan is enough — and we would rather say so than sell you a bigger one.

Four ways in

Which one holds
your terminals.

Straight from the rule. If it turns out wrong we move you up free of charge — you will not be asked to buy a second month to find out.

The High Frequency plan holds the same three as the Best. What you pay the difference for is clock speed — a Ryzen 9 at 5.7 GHz rather than an EPYC core — which matters for a scalping EA and not at all for a swing strategy.

Whose platform is it

DXtrade is your
broker's software.

This is the thing that makes DXtrade different from MetaTrader, and it changes what you can expect from a VPS.

DXtrade

DXtrade

your broker runs it

  • Deployed and configured by the broker, not by you
  • What you see depends on which firm you opened with
  • Nothing to install, and nothing to license
  • No expert advisors — automation goes through their API if it exists
MetaTrader 5

MetaTrader 5

you run it

  • Installed on your machine and yours to configure
  • The same terminal at every broker that offers it
  • Expert advisors, indicators, a market to buy them in
  • Heavier, and you carry the updates yourself
Worth knowing first

What you are renting,
and what you are not.

DXtrade is deployed by your broker

Unlike MetaTrader, DXtrade is not software you install. Your broker licenses it from Devexperts, configures which instruments and features are switched on, and serves it to you in a browser. Two firms running DXtrade can look and behave noticeably differently.

That matters when you read a guide or a forum post about it: half of what you find will describe a setup your broker has not enabled. It also means we cannot install it for you — there is nothing to install, only a login.

So a VPS keeps the session, not the platform

What the machine gives you is a browser that stays open and logged in while your own computer is off, on a connection that does not drop when your home wifi does. If you are running a bridge, a bot against the broker's API, or a copier alongside it, those run on the same machine and stay running too.

For a manual trader who closes the laptop at night, that is worth less than it is for somebody with something automated. Worth being honest about which of those you are before renting anything.

Automation goes through the broker, not the platform

DXtrade has no equivalent of an expert advisor. There is no scripting language inside it and nothing to compile. If you want a strategy running, it has to talk to your broker's API from outside — and that program is the thing that genuinely needs a machine which never sleeps.

Not every firm offering DXtrade exposes an API, and the ones that do vary in what they allow. Check before you build.

Location beats size on this one

A browser session and an API client do almost no work. What matters is that the machine sits close to the broker your orders are going to, and that it stays up.

Our broker pages carry the measured latency from each of our cities to each firm's servers. On this platform that figure is the one to choose on; the plan size barely enters into it.

Before you spend anything.

The questions our support desk actually receives, answered plainly.

Only if something has to stay running while your computer is off — a bridge, an API bot, a copier, or a session you want logged in overnight. For manual trading in a browser you close each evening, you do not.
There is nothing to install. DXtrade is served by your broker in a browser, so the machine comes with Chrome and Edge and you log in as you would anywhere else.
About a gigabyte per open browser window, Windows included. Two broker accounts in two windows is two gigabytes. If that is all you are running, the smallest plan is enough.
No. DXtrade has no scripting language and no EA equivalent. Automation has to talk to your broker's API from a program running outside the platform — which is one of the better reasons to rent a VPS.
Because your broker configures it. Devexperts supplies the platform and each firm chooses which instruments, order types and features are enabled, so two brokers running DXtrade are not running the same thing.
The city closest to your broker's servers. The platform is theirs and runs on their infrastructure, so what you are shortening is the distance between your automation and them. Our broker pages carry the measured figures.
Yes, and many people do — one broker on each. Count the browser window and each MetaTrader terminal as a gigabyte apiece.

Still unsure which plan or which city? Send us your broker's account server name and we will measure it before you buy.
