Cloud VPS

A real machine, sliced properly.

Three things get sold as a VPS and only one of them is a virtual machine. KVM gives you your own kernel; a container gives you a share of somebody else's — and the difference only shows up after you have paid, usually when something refuses to install.

See the plans Which distribution?

From $2.97/mo on a yearly cycle · every plan here is KVM

Six sizes, and all six are KVM.

The same nodes and the same network as the Windows range. What changes between plans is how much of the machine you get, not what you are allowed to do with it.

Every plan here undercuts its Windows counterpart — because there is no Microsoft licence inside it. That is the whole difference: same hardware, same cities, same support.

12 distributions. Here is when each one is right.

Any of them, on any plan, reinstallable from your panel in about five minutes.

Install something

Order to root

Ninety seconds, and none of it waiting on us.

Nothing is approved by hand and nothing is queued. The only slow part is you deciding which city.

01 Order

Pick a size and a city

Forty-three of them, and the move is free once a month if you pick wrong.

0:00
02 Key

Paste your public key

We never set a root password unless you ask. The key is safer and takes the same ten seconds.

0:01
03 Build

The machine builds itself

Ninety seconds. Nothing is approved by hand and nothing is queued.

0:02
04 Root

ssh root@your-ip

Address and fingerprint by email. From there it is your machine, and we stay out of it.

0:03

Nothing is preinstalled beyond the distribution you chose. An unmodified system is easier to trust, and easier to rebuild, than an image somebody else has already changed.

In your panel, not in a ticket queue

Six tools you will use every week.

Buttons you press yourself, included on every plan — this one too. There are more than twenty in the panel; these are the ones that change the day.

Your own kernel

Load a module, change a sysctl, run a different kernel version than the host does. On a container none of that is yours to decide.

01

Memory that is actually yours

A KVM guest is given its RAM. On an oversold container host the figure in the panel and the memory available at 3am are two different numbers.

02

Docker, k3s, nested things

Anything that wants its own namespaces and cgroups. This is the usual reason somebody moves from a cheap container to a real VPS.

03

A firewall you write

iptables or nftables rules that hold, and ports that publish because you said so rather than because a panel allowed it.

04

Snapshots of the whole disk

A full image, restored with one button. Not a file backup of the parts somebody decided were worth keeping.

05

Reinstall it yourself

Twelve distributions, five minutes, from your own panel. Break it as often as you like — the rebuild does not need us.

06

Twenty more sit alongside them — reboots, graphs, hostname changes, Windows Update control, time zone sync. The cheapest machine has the same panel as the most expensive. See how each one works →

Before you spend anything.

The questions our support desk actually receives, answered plainly.

Very little, and the word cloud does most of the work in marketing rather than in engineering. What matters is how the machine is divided: a virtual machine with its own kernel, or a container sharing the host's. Every plan on this site is the first kind.
Run systemd-detect-virt on the machine. It prints kvm on a real virtual machine, and lxc or openvz on a container. If a host will not tell you before you buy, that is an answer too.
It matters for anything that touches the kernel. Docker, k3s, custom firewall rules, WireGuard, a database you want to tune. If you are hosting a static site it makes no difference at all, and shared hosting would be cheaper.
No. A dedicated server is the whole physical machine with nothing else on it. A VPS is a properly isolated slice of one, which is enough for most workloads and a fraction of the price. We sell both.
Your snapshot restores onto another node, which is the practical answer. There is no live migration on these plans — if you need a machine that survives hardware failure without a restore, that is a different architecture and a different budget.
Upward, yes, in your panel. Downward is not always possible once the disk has grown, so start at the size you need rather than the largest one you might.
The one nearest whatever your machine talks to most — your users, your database, or your broker. Not necessarily the one nearest you.

Still unsure which plan or which city? Send us your broker's account server name and we will measure it before you buy.

Latency around LD4 and Amsterdam is excellent — orders feel instant. We moved four accounts across and none of them noticed a thing.

Excellent uptime and support is fast. It just works, which is all I wanted — I stopped thinking about the machine months ago.

Clear pricing and low latency. Migration was seamless — they moved the whole thing over a weekend and the renewal price has not moved since.

The Amsterdam route feels snappy and support solved my request quickly. Four stars only because I would like a German node closer to my broker.

Tokyo and Singapore peers are perfect for my brokers. Great value for what it is — I have run the same box for two years without touching it.
